Getting listed on Free Wine Searcher

Getting listed on Free Wine Searcher is easy and free. If you are a wine merchant in Europe and you are selling and shipping to customers throughout Europe, you too can have a listing on Free Wine Searcher. Until further notice, a listing on Free Wine Searcher is free and there are no plans to start charging for this. The only thing we require is for you to place a link back to Free Wine Searcher. Free Wine Searcher uses a custom built web robot that downloads price information from retailers every day. All we need to list your wines is to have easy access to your current price list. You can supply a price list in several ways:

Price list on the web

This is like a normal web page, except that it is a long table with all wines and their prices on one page. This way, we don't have to search all over your site for wine prices. A price list should be a single page with all the wines you are selling with a description of the wine (including wine name, producer and appellation/D.O/D.O.C.), the bottle size (preferably like "75 cl" or "1,5 l." instead of "bottle" and "magnum"), vintage, price, and optionally a link to a web page where visitors can buy the wine. Most web shop software can easily generate a list like this, because it is just a normal web page with all wines.

Data feed

A data feed is a like a web page, but it is meant to be read by a computer, instead of a human being. It is a plain text file containing all wines you are selling. If you already have a data feed for wine-searcher.com or other search engines, we can probable reuse it without the need for you to change anything. Excel file

We can process Excel files (up to Excel 2003). A restriction is that the information on a single wine cannot be spread over several rows (so 1 wine is 1 row).

General requirements

We cannot proccess any other price list formats (like PDF files). We want to keep the prices on Free Wine Searcher as accurate as possible. The price list you supply must be accurate and up-to-date, accessible from the Internet without having to log in, and the prices mentioned must be the real prices and the same prices as on your web site. In principle, you must be able to supply the listed wines. If we receive repetitive complaints that listed wines cannot be supplied, we will remove the complete listing to prevent listing of "spectacular offers" that are only meant to attract visitors.
